Dr. Derek O'Connor is originally from Bourbonnais, Illinois, a small town south of Chicago. He attended Butler University for undergrad, where he majored in Biology and Chemistry while also playing wide receiver on the football team. In 2021, Dr. O'Connor graduated magna cum laude from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska where he received extensive training in all facets of dentistry. He has worked in Illinois for the last 4 years at a family practice started by his grandfather, where he continued his education with courses on restorative dentistry, endodontics, and clear aligner therapy. Dr. O'Connor is excited to join the Havens Family Dentistry team and continue providing the highest standard of care, and building strong relationships with the patients and community.
Dr. O'Connor and his wife Jordan met in Indianapolis when both were attending Butler University and have a daughter, Emerson, and a dog, Addie. They enjoy cooking, traveling, attending sporting events and going to parks as a family. They are looking forward to exploring everything the Columbus area has to offer!
